Solomon wrote "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:...
(Proverbs 17:22).
There is a time for fun and a time seriousness
and gravity. There are two extremes. Some want to make everything fun - worship,
education, work, etc. This concept ignores the value to character building in hardship,
toil, sacrifice, struggle and even pain. God did not design life to be one continous
party. He did not design worship to be fun time, but a time for building up our faith
and love for God in addition to praising God with reverence and Godly fear. It is a time
for quite reflection on the more serious side of life. Hard work is not "fun" but it is
beneficial and satisfying. "The sleep of a labouring man is sweet ... (Ecc.
5:12).
There is a time for fun and leisure to give us a
break from the more heavy matters. It is a time for rest and repair. We all need
recreation (re-creation) to balance our lives. A good joke, story, cartoon, or funny movie
clip can give us a good healthy laugh and a break from the burdens of life.
Since this is a personal rather than a church site,
we have no problem with including this section. We will have humorous stories, cartoons,
audio and video clips in this section. Enjoy.
